Attendance

How you get checked in​

Attendance in CHASE is recorded by the chair, not by you — there's no self-check-in button in the committee view. When you arrive, the chair marks your delegation present (usually during roll call, but chairs can also correct entries mid-session).

Being marked present matters because it feeds directly into:

  • Whether you can add yourself to a speakers list — delegates must be present to speak.
  • Majority calculations — the simple/absolute/two-thirds thresholds on your dashboard are based on who's currently present.
  • Quorum — whether the committee can formally proceed at all.

If you believe you're marked absent by mistake, tell the chair — they can correct it directly.

Non-State Actors (NSAs)​

If you're attending as an NSA rather than a delegation, you typically don't log in with an account at all. Instead:

  • Conference organizers issue you a printed badge with a personal QR code.
  • Chairs scan your badge at the door of each committee session you attend, which records a check-in/check-out event for you.
  • If you do have an account (e.g. because your organization also gave you delegate-style access), your participant landing page shows a "My attendance" history — every check-in and check-out, which committee it was for, and when it happened.

Checking your own history​

Delegates don't currently have a personal cross-committee attendance history page — you belong to one committee, and your presence there is shown directly on your committee dashboard. NSAs, who can move between committees over the course of a conference, get the dedicated "My attendance" list described above so they can verify their own record.
